Bookmarklets for Easy Submission of Stories


You can easily submit stories to BestOfIndya. Just bookmark the link below in your favorite browser. After that, the only thing you have to do to start submitting a story is to click the bookmarklet in your browser.

Internet Explorer: Rightclick the link below, choose "Add to favorites (select create in links to put it on Links tool bar). Ignore any warnings from I.E about running JavaScript. There is no harm running my javascript. It is only submitting the current page to BestOfIndya.

Use the following script/code to display BestOfIndya News Widget.


 

"External Voting Widgets" for Blogs and Web Sites

You can use "External Voting Widget" like the one shown below on your blog. This Widget displays number of votes your story has received, after it was linked/published on BestOfIndya. It can also be used for Submitting Story. Clicking on it on your blog brings user to the StoryPage.

WordPress Plugin

Wordpress Bloggers download the plugin from here, upload it to your blog and activate it. Downloaded zip file contains plugin and instruction installing the plugin. After installing the plugin all your posts will automatically have the BestOfIndya "External Voting Button".


Blogger/Blogspot

Follow these steps to add the widget.


1. Login to your blogger account
2. Select your blog -> Template -->Edit HTML
3. Check Expand Widget Templates check box
4. Search for
tag in your template HTML
5. Copy and paste the code following code after
